Gegründet im Jahr 2014 als Initiative von Studierenden der Universität der Angewandten Kunst Wien, mit dem ursprünglichen Ziel der Förderung der musikalischen Ausbildung in der Kunstausbildung. Seitdem hat sich der Technochor d’achor jedoch zu einer speziellen Plattform für Stimmbildung/Stimmkunst, Chortheater, Performance, Kommunikation, sowie Integration und Zusammenarbeit entwickelt.
Der Technochor d’achor ist offen für alle Menschen, die Freude am Singen haben und sich damit künstlerisch ausdrücken wollen, schafft einen Kommunikationsraum und gibt allen Teilnehmer_innen die Möglichkeit sich einzubringen und sich stimmlich und kreativ zu entfalten. Der Aspekt des leistungs- und bewertungsfreien Raums spielt eine besondere Rolle in der Arbeit mit dem Format d’achor. So fungiert der Chor, indem er den Sänger_innen die „Angst“ vor der Stimme, vor der Präsentation und vor der Leistung nimmt. Die Wahrnehmung wird gezielt auf das Hier und Jetzt gelenkt. Es entsteht dadurch ein Gefühl von mehr persönlichem, emotionalem und körperlichem Wohlbefinden.
Es werden stets Projekte initiiert, die neben der Konzerttätigkeit und der Probenarbeit eine Interaktion entstehen lassen. Ein Gefühl kollektiver Verbundenheit durch koordinierte Aktivitäten und persönlicher Kontakt mit anderen, die ähnlich gesinnt sind und die Entwicklungen von persönlich stützenden Freundschaften und konstruktiven, kollaborierenden Beziehungen sind im Verein d ́achor ein wichtiges Anliegen.
Das Repertoire besteht zum größten Teil aus Musikstücken die von den Teilnehmer_innen mitausgesucht und vom Chorleiter passend auf die Stimmen arrangiert werden. Das Gesamtkonzept der Vereinsarbeit zielt darauf ab, neue, innovative Musikströmungen, wie Pop, Soul, HipHop, Rap, Techno, Electronic, Reggae u.v.a. mit der klassischen Musikszene in Verbindung zu bringen. Dieses Konzept wurde bisher bereits durch die vierjährige Tätigkeit des Chors umgesetzt und von Veranstaltern und Publikum sehr gut aufgenommen. Seit 2017 kooperiert der d’achor mit dem eigens für ihn ins Leben gerufenen Media Innovation Orchestra (MIO).

Founded in 2014 as an initiative of students of the University of Applied Arts Vienna, with the original goal of promoting musical education in arts education. Since then, however, the Technochor d’achor has developed into a special platform for voice education/voice art, choral theater, performance, communication, as well as integration and collaboration.
The Technochor d’achor is open for all people who enjoy singing and want to express themselves artistically. It creates a space for communication and gives all participants the opportunity to get involved and to develop their vocal and creative talents. The aspect of a performance and evaluation free space plays a special role in the work with the d’achor format. The choir functions in this way by removing the singers’ “fear” of the voice, of presentation and of performance. The perception is directed specifically to the here and now. This creates a feeling of more personal, emotional and physical well-being.
Projects are always initiated that allow for interaction in addition to the concert and rehearsal activities. A feeling of collective solidarity through coordinated activities and personal contact with others who are similarly minded, and the development of personally supportive friendships and constructive, collaborative relationships are an important concern in the association d ́achor.
The repertoire consists mainly of pieces of music that are selected by the participants and arranged by the choirmaster to fit the voices. The overall concept of the association’s work aims at bringing new, innovative music trends, such as pop, soul, hip hop, rap, techno, electronic, reggae and many others into connection with the classical music scene. This concept has already been realized by the choir’s four years of activity and has been very well received by organizers and audience. Since 2017 the d’achor has been cooperating with the Media Innovation Orchestra (MIO), which was founded especially for the d’achor.
