Unfortunately, it couldn’t become the in-person gathering we were hoping for but is rather a series of interesting online workshops and discussions now. Together we want to find ways towards a post-capitalist society. From the 20th to the 25th of November 2020, the Vienna Degrowth Days will offer space to develop concrete strategies for social-ecological transformation. We are happy to announce a broad program https://www.degrowthvienna2020.org/en/vienna-degrowth-days-programm/ of workshops and discussions. It covers various thematic fields and topics like Arts, Finance, Police Repression, Work, Housing, Food and many more.
The global pandemic uncovered once again the unprecedented urgency of an immediate and radical transformation of the dominant, growth-dependent mode of production and living towards a good life for all. Degrowth provides visions for an economy that does not depend on growth and is organized democratically, a society that is organized around the good life for all instead of the constant accumulation of capital.
